Campaign idea: Zaza travelled to Chester Zoo
Zaza travelled across the globe to Chester to help ensure the survival of his endangered species.
This story
Zaza, a seven-year-old male fossa, moved from San Diego Zoo to Chester Zoo as part of an international breeding programme. With fewer than 2,500 fossas left in the wild in Madagascar, he was brought in to partner with resident female Shala. Keepers began introducing the pair gradually, rotating them through the habitat and using a sliding screen between their dens.
What your brand could do
Provide habitat enrichment and monitoring tech to support Zaza and Shala throughout their introduction.
