Campaign idea: Womble is thriving at Chester Zoo
When newborn aardvark Womble struggled for milk, keepers stepped in overnight to help the rare calf thrive.
This story
Womble was born at Chester Zoo, but mother Oni was not producing enough milk to sustain the calf. Keepers placed the newborn in an incubator each evening, bottle-feeding warm milk through the night for several weeks. Womble has grown stronger and now lives full-time alongside Oni.
