Wilfred struggled to share his ideas using picture cards until an app on his tablet helped him find his voice.
This story
Wilfred initially communicated using gestures and picture cards, but he had ideas he could not express and the cards were easily misplaced. His speech and language therapy team introduced a communication app on his tablet to give him a reliable way to express himself. Wilfred now uses the app to greet people and take part in group activities, and he has also started speaking new words and phrases.
