Campaign idea: Tony took photos from his taxi window
Tony drove a taxi while taking photos from his window, turning to art to rebuild his life after trauma.
This story
Tony experienced mental illness following trauma and loss, turning to photography to cope and express himself. While working for years as a taxi driver, he took photos from his cab window to pursue his ambition of becoming an artist. During lockdown, he created an exhibition called Only the Lonely by photographing people through their windows. He went on to win the 2025 Bill Pringle Art Award for work capturing different generations making music together.
