Leaving home left Tamara terrified, but finding support helped her earn a place at boarding school.
This story
Tamara left a difficult home environment to protect herself and her younger brother, feeling scared and losing her sense of identity. Her nan suggested visiting Unitas, where youth workers gave her space to heal and helped rebuild her self-belief. With their help studying and practising interview questions, Tamara secured a place at boarding school.
