This story
In 1984, Stuart contracted hepatitis C through a blood transfusion during treatment for leukaemia. The infection went on to cause cirrhosis, diabetes and liver cancer. After undergoing a liver transplant in November 2021, he is recovering and campaigning for justice for everyone affected by the contaminated blood scandal.
