Campaign idea: A family is lighting up tractors
A family in Alne are decorating dozens of tractors with tinsel and lights to thank the hospital caring for their son.

The Alne Charity Tinsel Tractor Run began in 2023 as a small local fundraiser and grew to feature over 90 illuminated vehicles last year. For 2026, the convoy is raising funds for York Hospital's children's ward, which treats the organisers' son Bertie for recurring respiratory infections. The festive fleet is preparing to travel through local villages this December.
