Campaign idea: A newborn anoa calf steps outside

After a ten-month pregnancy, a newborn anoa calf has emerged to take her first steps outside at Chester Zoo.

This story

A female lowland anoa calf was born to mother Darcy after a ten-month pregnancy, weighing seven kilograms. Lowland anoas are the world's smallest buffalo species, with fewer than 2,500 remaining in the wild due to hunting and habitat loss. After two weeks bonding in their den, the calf has started exploring her outdoor habitat.
