Lacking confidence and dealing with low health, a young woman found new purpose through education and volunteering.
This story
Referred by a job centre coach in November 2023, she joined the Forging Futures programme with low confidence and health issues including diabetes. She took part in workshops on communication, healthy eating, and interview skills, and attended employer question-and-answer sessions. Now studying maths and English through adult learning, she volunteers weekly at a charity shop and has begun handing out CVs.
