Steve set out to cycle 1,200 kilometres around the coast of Wales, but a downhill crash forced him to pause.

After lifelong family friend Catrin died from a rare secondary brain cancer, Steve set out to cycle 1,200 kilometres around the Wales coast for Brain Research UK. Riding unsupported from Chepstow to Chester over eight days, he crashed on a downhill stretch near Little Haven and injured his hand. He had to abandon the ride for the time being, but promised to return to Wales to finish it.
