Years after surviving rape and helping convict her attacker, Shannon is training to run the London Marathon for fellow survivors.

In 2013, Shannon was raped by her best friend's then fiancé. In 2021, she reported him to the police alongside other women, and he was convicted and imprisoned in 2023. She is now preparing to run the London Marathon to support other survivors of sexual violence.
