When Seb's mum needed a heart transplant, surf therapy helped the eight-year-old find confidence and pride in himself.
This story
Seb was eight when his mum became suddenly unwell and needed a heart transplant. His school referred him to The Wave Project for a six-week surf therapy programme, where he bonded with a mentor who gave him encouragement. He began to recognise his own strength, and he has now become a regular at the surf club.
