Campaign idea: Sarah landed her first developer job
Sarah spent years working in a laundry before retraining in coding and landing her first job as a developer.
This story
After spending five years in the UK as an asylum seeker, Sarah struggled to re-enter employment and took a full-time job in a laundry. While raising her young son, she joined a free coding course with CodeYourFuture, persisting through language barriers, heavy workloads and self-doubt. Despite months of rejections during her job hunt, she kept applying and secured her first job offer as a developer.
