Following homophobic and transphobic abuse at home, Sam stayed with a friend until space ran out and rough sleeping became a risk. Sam connected with the Albert Kennedy Trust to explore housing options and chose university accommodation. The charity advocated for Sam with the university and funded their deposit and first month's rent.
