When Ruby was twelve, she was shy, lacked confidence and found it hard to adjust to life at secondary school in Merthyr Tydfil. Her teacher Megan noticed and signed her up to the Active in Mind programme. Through the programme, Ruby worked with athlete mentors to learn new strategies.
