Shortly after starting an NHS job in London, Rebecca was struck by a car that mounted the footpath, suffering multiple fractures to her spine, skull, ribs, and arm. After a month in intensive care and several surgeries, she spent months in rehabilitation relearning how to sit, stand, and walk. She has since moved back into her flat, returned to full-time work, and resumed training at the gym.
