Campaign idea: Raj welcomes newcomers in Derby
Raj arrived in Derby feeling isolated and afraid to speak English. Today he volunteers welcoming others rebuilding their lives.
This story
When Raj first arrived in Derby after living in several parts of England, he felt alone and scared to speak to people. Connecting with English classes helped him build confidence and make friends, but he soon faced homelessness. With help finding a place to stay with a host, he found stability and now volunteers making tea, coffee, and lunch for newcomers.
