Campaign idea: Pete got his independence back
Pete loved his police career until a six-foot fall ended it, but practical support helped him regain his independence.
This story
Pete was a police driving instructor in Leicestershire when a fall into a roadside ditch while attending a crash broke a vertebra in his neck. Forced to retire at 41, he faced chronic pain, severe mobility issues, and deep depression. Adaptations to his driveway, bathroom, and car helped him leave the house again and spend time with friends.
