Paul was sofa surfing at 16 after leaving home. Weightlifting and supported housing helped him build an independent life.
This story
After leaving home at 16 due to abuse, Paul moved between friends and family before entering supported accommodation in the North East. Over two and a half years, he learned how to manage a home and competed regionally in Olympic weightlifting. He is now preparing to move into his own flat and study paramedic science at university.
