Campaign idea: Naikmal helps refugees find work
Targeted by the Taliban, Naikmal fled Afghanistan and now helps fellow Afghan refugees find employment in the UK.
This story
After the Taliban takeover in August 2021, Naikmal fled Afghanistan with his wife and four children because of his work leading a women's reproductive health organisation. After arriving in the UK and spending five months in hotel accommodation, he studied for a master's degree while receiving specialist training to adapt to the local job market. He now works as an employment advisor helping other Afghan refugees build new lives.
