This story
Michelle grew up in care and used heroin for twelve years, spending time in and out of prison. After an ultimatum from her daughter and mother, she joined a local group to learn everyday life skills and worked in a call centre for twelve years. She completed a traineeship with a placement during lockdown and now works as a recovery worker supporting others in Dumfries.
