Micha qualified as a nurse in the Philippines and moved to the UK in 2023 to work on an NHS intensive care ward. In April 2024, she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and underwent surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. Unable to work or access government benefits due to her visa status, she received a grant from a charity to help cover household bills while in palliative care.
