Campaign idea: Matthew adapted to a rare condition
Matthew started tripping and falling in his twenties. He received a rare spinal and nerve condition diagnosis by post.
This story
Matthew started experiencing foot drop and numbness in his legs in late 2017 while working in the family tree surgery business and studying part-time. After medical appointments, he received a diagnosis of adrenomyeloneuropathy through a clinic letter in the post in July 2018. Over the following years, he adapted to physical changes, using crutches, a rollator, and a wheelchair, and had his home altered with a disabled facilities grant.
