Campaign idea: Luke found purpose in the mountains
Wildfires reduced the heathland Luke loved with his late mother to ash. Now he is running across mountains to restore it.
This story
Luke's family have had a residence in Dunwich since 1999, where the purple heather formed memories with his late mother, Kate. After recent wildfires tore through Dunwich Heath and destroyed vital wildlife habitat, Luke set out to raise funds for its recovery. He is taking on a trail marathon through the Brecon Beacons to help the National Trust restore the land.
