This story
After finishing school during the 2020 lockdowns, Lucy began a history degree but struggled spending every day at a laptop. She left after her first year to pursue a trade and joined an apprenticeship in historic building conservation. She now works as an apprentice stonemason at Gloucester Cathedral, learning traditional hand-carving techniques alongside senior masons.
