Lucy and Katie process thousands of smear tests in their hospital lab. Now they are skydiving to get young women talking about screening.
This story
Working as healthcare science assistants in cytology at a hospital in Derby, Lucy and Katie see every day how screening saves lives. Both in their early twenties and not yet old enough for routine tests themselves, they signed up for a skydive to raise funds for their pathology department and urge eligible women to book their appointments. Lucy also took on training for her first marathon in Leeds.
