Campaign idea: Lou became an audio engineer
After teaching herself recording during a year out, Lou built a career as an audio engineer supporting grassroots musicians across Southampton.
This story
Lou grew up playing guitar and began learning recording and mixing during a year away from university due to illness. Noticing how few women and gender minorities worked in audio production, she connected with an industry network and secured a shadowing role at a recording studio. Four years on, she works as an engineer, mixer and studio manager, helping run community sessions and mentoring young artists.
