Lizzie faced heartbreak when one twin died before birth, but his brother Leo fought through intensive care to make it home.
This story
After two miscarriages, Lizzie and Som were expecting twins who shared a placenta. At 26 weeks, one of the twins, Lucas, died before birth, and his brother Leo was delivered at 27 weeks weighing 588 grams. Leo spent 65 days in neonatal intensive care before coming home, where Lizzie keeps Lucas's memory part of their family.
