Campaign idea: Lisa is rebuilding her strength
Lisa lost her career and independence to a brain tumour. Now she is rebuilding her strength through gentle exercise and singing.
This story
In 2024, Lisa collapsed while walking her dog and was diagnosed with a stage 4 glioblastoma, stomach tumours and brain swelling. Major surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy left her dealing with speech problems, memory loss and fatigue, forcing her to retire and give up driving. Determined to regain her independence, she started attending chair yoga and gym sessions, and has since joined a choir for people affected by cancer.
