Campaign idea: Lisa is working to return to nursing
A cancer diagnosis halted Lisa's nursing career. Now she is working to regain her independence and return to the ward.
This story
Lisa worked as a Sister in an acute medical clinic before worsening hip pain revealed a fracture caused by multiple myeloma. Following ten weeks in hospital, chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, she spent a year sleeping downstairs with zero income. Support from Cavell for an adjustable bed helped her regain use of her bedroom as she works towards recovery.
