This story
Joy was trafficked to the UK at 16. A decade later, her captor died, leaving her homeless, heavily pregnant and without documents. An advice centre helped her gather paperwork, housed her, and connected her with a group for migrant mothers. Joy now lives in a two-bedroom home and has started college.
