Josh struggled with social situations in groups. Joining an inclusive ensemble gave him the confidence to perform on major stages.
This story
Josh began violin lessons at age seven and bass guitar at eleven, but struggled with posture, ensemble technique and social situations in groups. Joining the Cardiff ensemble in 2023 built his confidence, leading to performances with professional orchestras at venues including the Barbican. Now in year 11, he plays with the 2026 National Open Youth Orchestra and aims to become a professional musician.
