John has supported his local hospice for years. Now he is preparing to trek the Sahara Desert in memory of his dad.
This story
John has supported Wigan & Leigh Hospice for years after seeing the care they provided to his family and friends. Following the death of his dad last year, who also raised money for the hospice, he decided to take on his first major challenge since. In November 2026, he is taking on a multi-day trek across the Sahara Desert to raise funds for their services.
