This story
After leaving the Royal Marines, John struggled to adjust to civilian life and faced 20 years of depression and substance misuse. Following a suicide attempt in 2020, he received support to find housing and fund his residential rehabilitation. With help preparing his CV, he secured a job five days after finishing treatment. He has since remarried and is continuing to build bridges with his children.
