After facing a dementia diagnosis and losing his wife, John rebuilt his everyday routine singing in a village choir.
This story
John moved into Wixams Village four years ago after receiving a dementia diagnosis, while his wife was in cancer remission. His wife died shortly after they moved in, leaving John to adapt to living on his own in their new apartment. Today, he receives low-key daily support from staff, attends a group for people living with dementia, and regularly performs with the resident-led choir.
