John works for the hospice that cared for his grandad, and is preparing to run the London Marathon for them.
This story
John saw the care St Luke's Hospice provided to his grandad at home, as well as to other family members and friends. He now works for the hospice, seeing the support teams offer to local people facing the end of life. In April 2027, he plans to run 26.2 miles at the London Marathon to raise funds for their care.
