Campaign idea: John teaches woodwork to local people
People navigating redundancy, bereavement or illness join John to learn woodwork, find focus and rebuild a sense of purpose.
This story
The workshop supports local people who are dealing with redundancy, retirement, bereavement or physical and mental health problems. In each session, up to eight people access tools and materials to create wooden projects like planters, bird houses and signs under John's guidance. Having a regular place to work gives participants a practical focus, helps them build confidence and connects them with others.
