This story
After nine years in the Royal Air Force, John worked as a yacht instructor and volunteered supporting wounded veterans through sailing. When severe knee pain worsened, he faced a two-year wait for an operation on the NHS and feared losing his livelihood. A veterans' charity stepped in to fund his knee replacement surgery and immediate physiotherapy, getting him back on his feet within six weeks.
