Campaign idea: Jo found friendship on her doorstep

Living alone and mostly blind in Droitwich, Jo began to feel invisible until regular doorstep visits broke her isolation.

This story

At 89, Jo lives on her own with her guide dog Opal and relies on minimal peripheral vision to cook and clean. When self-isolation kept her indoors, she went without seeing or speaking to neighbours who walked past her door. A local support worker and her daughters began dropping by each week for doorstep chats and to walk Opal.
