Campaign idea: Jessica is running for her dad
After hospice care supported her dad through his final days, Jessica is training to take on the London Marathon in his memory.
This story
Jessica's dad, Eddie, died of cancer in December 2022 following an eighteen-month illness. During that time, hospice care provided equipment, medication and counselling so he could spend his final days at home, and later supported her close family friend Linda before she also died of cancer. Jessica is now preparing to run the 2027 London Marathon to help other families receive the same care.
