Jan's 29-year-old daughter Ami died suddenly in her bedroom from an undiagnosed heart condition. Seeking bereavement support, Jan turned to Cardiac Risk in the Young and found purpose alongside other grieving families. She is now organising an afternoon tea in Ami's name to raise money to bring a mobile cardiac screening bus to Bournemouth.
