Spinal muscular atrophy left three-year-old Jacob reliant on others to move. Now a powered wheels chair lets him chase his nursery friends.
This story
Jacob, aged three, has spinal muscular atrophy type 1, which causes extreme muscle weakness and left him dependent on others for mobility. After receiving a Wizzybug powered wheelchair, he gained independent movement straight away. He now uses it to join in games of chase and hide and seek at nursery.
What your brand could do
Host a day of outdoor games for Jacob and his nursery friends. Kit him out for exploring the grassy hills in his powered chair.
