After 25 years in the police, Irene launched her own consultancy so she could choose her own hours.
This story
Irene worked for 30 years in the public sector, serving as the first Black female inspector for Merseyside Police. Wanting flexibility to raise her young son and prove she could work for herself, she set out to launch a coaching and diversity consultancy. With support to build a business plan from The Women's Organisation, she established Ametrine Enterprise Solutions and now runs workshops and coaching across the region.
