George spent years trapped in drug and alcohol addiction. Now sober, he is starting a job helping others recover.
This story
George began drinking in primary school and later developed a severe addiction to alcohol and multiple prescription and illicit drugs through university, leaving him isolated and unwell. After connecting with the charity WithYou, he received support for his mental health and built a lasting recovery. Having served as a volunteer, he is now preparing to join the charity as a staff member to guide others.
