Campaign idea: Gemma helps families carry their babies
Gemma started with a simple peer support group. Now she helps families across Glasgow carry their babies safely and comfortably.
This story
Gemma, a sling consultant with more than 14 years of experience, began with a peer-to-peer support group before establishing Glasgow Sling Library in 2019. The organisation offers affordable sling hire and consultations to support parent-child bonding, breastfeeding, and mental and physical wellbeing. Funding awards helped expand the service to offer workshops on weaning, sleep support, and child behaviour, as well as training healthcare workers.
