Campaign idea: Gemma found her way back to nursing
Burnout and months without pay pushed nurse Gemma into crisis. With emergency support, she found her way back to the job she loves.
This story
Working 70 hours a week as a nurse, Gemma fell asleep for 10 minutes on shift and was suspended during a six-month investigation. Left without an income, her savings ran out until she had just two pounds left and faced a severe mental health crisis. An emergency grant covered her rent, and with the investigation closed, she has now returned to nursing on a manageable phased schedule.
