This story
Freya underwent open-heart surgery at five months old, followed by later diagnoses of hypermobility, inflammatory bowel disease, and failing kidneys. In 2024, her mother donated a kidney to her, though hospital visits between London and Cambridge continue every four weeks. Going to camp gave Freya and her sister Pippa the chance to take a break from medical routines, try new activities, and make friends.
