This story
After leaving her retail management job following a breast cancer diagnosis in 2014, Fiona received the all-clear and began rebuilding her life. She befriended a local church leader and helped organise the opening of a neighbourhood café. She now volunteers there every Wednesday, bringing freshly baked cakes and finding that the work supports her mental health.
