In February 2024, Elizabeth received a call that her eighteen-year-old daughter had been taken to the emergency department, where she gave birth to a baby girl moments later. Her daughter had experienced a cryptic pregnancy with no prior symptoms, which led to severe trauma and post-traumatic stress. Finding little public understanding or support, Elizabeth wrote a memoir to raise awareness and help other families facing similar experiences.
