Campaign idea: Dawit and Genet reunited in England
Dawit and Genet were separated for two and a half years before reuniting in England to raise their daughter.
This story
Dawit and Genet fled religious persecution in Eritrea for Sudan, before Dawit journeyed across desert and sea to England. He was detained upon arrival until volunteers helped secure his release, housing, and English lessons. After two and a half years apart, Genet was able to join him in 2017, and they later welcomed their daughter.
